Vocalist Thomas Mars. This year, Phoenix have performed on Saturday Night Live, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Show with David Letterman - surely, all this television exposure contributed to their nearly sold out U.S. tour.

Guitarist Laurent Brancowitz used to be in a band inspired by the beach boys with Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, the masked individuals behind Daft Punk.

French alternative rock band Phoenix performed at Rumsey Playfield on September 25th, the first night of two sold out shows at the massive Central Park venue.
